According to a survey done by the Society for Human Resource Management, 79 percent of employees who quit their jobs say that a lack of appreciation is a key reason for their leaving.
In 2004, Gallup reported that 65 percent of North American employees reported that they had received no praise or recognition in the workplace in the previous year.
If an employer/manager doesn't regularly and consistently communicate to employees that they are valued and appreciated, there's no way these employees are regularly and consistently engaging external customers in WOWEDSightings. No wonder, a WOWEDSighting is the exception ... and, therefore, an opportunity.
